Dear students (the M1 group),
Once again, there was no class last Tuesday due to the strike at La Sorbonne. We have already missed three classes which is reallly worrisome and we cannot postpone the first exam indefinitely.
As a result, I have decided that your first grade will be a take-home assignment on Yunus and the deadline is December 09th midnight.
In case the strike continues and there can be no classes until December 11th, then you will have to send your assignment by email before December 09th. If we can have a class on December 11th, you can hand in it to me personally.
If you send your paper by email, make sure you get my confirmation because if I have not confirmed by email that I have received your paper, it means I have not received it.
Instructions :
1/ Listen / watch to this report titled “Yunus CNN Interview ” several times and answer all the questions as precisely as possible.
2/Use appropriate and precise quotations from the interview to justify your answers.
3/ Make two copies of your paper (use a word processor - or make a photocopy if hand-written). You will need the second copy for the class, when we will correct the answers.
4/Required format :
- word processed paper : Font : Times New Roman / Size : 12 / Margins : 2.5 cm (top, bottom, left, right) / Space between lines : double space / Your name should appear on the upper left part of the first page. Pages must be stapled if handed in personally. If emailed, the required format must be in one of the following formats : .doc / .rtf / .odt (no other format will be accepted).
- hand-written paper (only if we have a class on December 11th): Margins : 2.5 cm (top, bottom, left, right) / Space between lines : double space / Your name should appear on the upper left part of the first page. Pages must be stapled.
5/ If you do not follow all these guidelines : - 2 points !
6/ Also check all the deadly mistakes : - 1 points for each deadly mistake !
- basic agreement rules (there were students, they are, she was / no plural forms for adjective, etc.)
- capitalization for nationalities (adjectives and nouns)
- no contracted forms : "is not" instead of "isn't" / "are not" instead of "aren't"/ "cannot" instead of "can't", etc.
7/ Deadline : December 9th midnight. - 2 points for late submission (one day) and - 4 points if your paper is submitted two days later. No paper will be accepted after December 12th.
