Dear students,
As suggested by some of you, I would accept the idea that if the grades on your homework papers are lower than the in-class papers and exams, only the in-class work will count except those who got a zero for not having done their homework. Ditto for those who were absent for justified or unjustified reasons. I strongly recommend that these students submit their homework and this can be done by email too : their homework must be submitted. Last deadline: Dec 14 !
If you can email me before Sunday evening, I will try and do my best to "send" your papers by email (scanned file). I again apologise for all these delays.
I did meet a couple of students on Tuesday and Thursday (from 10 to 5pm) at the library I had mentioned (English department). I expected to see more students.
If you are free on Monday morning, I will be at the library at Serpente from 10 am till 12 pm, so you can also meet me there.
I have spent a lot of time to sort out the countless problems related to the screening of the movie next Tuesday (...it's like banging your head against a brickwall...). I have not finished with them yet and I again have a meeting with the Sorbonne's staff ("service audiovisuel") next Monday morning at 8 am sharp! The equipment is not working and we have to find a solution or...give up this screening...
Since their VCR is not working, last Thursday, I had to bring my own VCR... (!!) ...but now, they have a problem with the cables...(!!...)
Do not be disheartened if your grade is (very) low and not up to your expectations. Keep working! You'll be fine some time soon!
